About
The commercial desk of Romco Builders
Romco Builders is a full-service general contractor headquartered in Fort Lauderdale and licensed to build in all 67 Florida counties. This site covers one lane of that business: tenant improvements and commercial renovations across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach.
Send a floor plan, a lease exhibit, or a landlord work letter. We come back with a real number and the assumptions behind it.

Dewatering, support of excavation and deep foundations we do with our own people.
Why the lanes are separate
Romco Builders serves three genuinely different buyers: commercial and institutional owners, ultra-luxury residential clients, and multifamily developers. They want different things, they measure success differently, and they ask completely different questions.
A tenant negotiating an improvement allowance on a Brickell floor is not solving the same problem as a developer pricing a ground-up multifamily podium. Putting them on the same page serves neither of them well, so we do not.
This desk answers to the first group. The people who price your job are the people who run it, and there is no account-manager layer in between.

What our leadership has delivered — and how we say it
Our leadership has delivered the Hospital for Special Surgery FDR expansion, multiple floor fit-outs and a chiller project for Emigrant Savings Bank, the ADL tenant renovation in New York, the United Nations “Arc of the Return”, Queens Plaza South, and deep foundations in a tidal environment at 1515 Surf Avenue. On the residential side the same leadership has delivered work at the Pierre Hotel, 15 Central Park West, One Madison Avenue and several Fifth and Park Avenue residences, plus the largest residential geothermal project in New York and work under the New York State Brownfield Cleanup Program.
That portfolio was largely delivered in New York, before and alongside Romco Builders. It is leadership experience. It is not a Romco Builders company project list, and we will not let it be read as one.
We are explicit about this because the distinction costs us nothing and tells you something useful: a contractor who is careless with attribution on a website will be careless with the numbers on a pay application.
Self-perform
What is unambiguously ours
Dewatering, support of excavation, deep foundations — including tidal environments — and site development, grading, utilities and earthwork, executed by our own crews rather than brokered out. Very few Florida general contractors can say that. On South Florida sites, where sand over limestone and a high water table turn a simple below-slab trench into an engineering problem, it is the difference between a problem we solve and a problem that leaves our schedule.
