Local GC vs. a National Rollout Contractor

If you are a brand opening locations in several states, a national rollout firm is a reasonable answer. If your locations are in Florida, the calculation changes — because the thing that actually delays a build-out here is jurisdictional, and jurisdictions are local.

Our view

The honest verdict

A national rollout contractor genuinely wins when your programme spans several states and prototype consistency matters more than local nuance. One contract, one standard, one point of contact is a real operational benefit and we will not pretend otherwise. Where it struggles is in South Florida specifically, because the delays here are jurisdictional — a Coral Gables Board of Architects calendar, a Miami Beach preservation review, an FAA height check in Dania Beach — and a remotely managed team tends to find those out rather than plan for them. If all your Florida sites are in this region, local wins. If Florida is one state in a twelve-state programme, the national firm may be the right call.
